My parents previously had an ex-on-digital set top box. It was OK, but they later ended up with a Sony set top box which surprised them by getting better reception, being faster at switching between channels and so on.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;The frustrating thing is it's impossible to know which products are good and which are bad before buying them. It's not just a case of buying different brands or more expensive products - they often use the same chipsets anyway!&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Anyway, back to the topic. My parents also have a cheapo SCART switcher, from Argos.
